On March 1, China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) held a video conference in Beijing to implement the decisions on targeted poverty alleviation made by the group company at the 2019 annual work conference.
The conference pointed out that all the departments and subsidiaries at the forefront of poverty alleviation have fulfilled their responsibilities at the beginning of this year for tangible outcomes. In the near future, China Energy will work hard on the pair-up assistance to Nyainrong of Tibet Autonomous Region, Gangca and Qumarleb of Qinghai Province, Butuo and Puge of Sichuan Province, as well as some poverty-stricken counties in the old revolutionary base areas, including Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia, Youyu of Shanxi Province, Mizhi and Wubu of Shaanxi Province.
According to the conference, Qumarleb is where the Yellow River originates and Gangca is where the Qinghai Lake is situated.
