Recently, selection of the 10th China Environment Award was completed by the organizing committee composed of 11 ministries and commissions including the Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), the Population Resources and Environment Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Ministry of Ecological Environment. Under the theme “Civilization Thrives with Ecological Prosperity,” the event honored Guohua Power and the Environmental Protection Company of China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) with Excellence Prizes alongside two other award-winners in the category of enterprise environmental protection.
Implementing the national policy of resource conservation and environmental protection, Guohua Power takes environmental protection as the core of its corporate social responsibility, actively carries out technological innovation and engineering practice in controlling pollution from coal-fired power plants, and has made an outstanding contribution to the clean and efficient utilization of China’s coal resources and gained recognition from the state and society at large.
The CEPRI Environmental Protection Company spearheads the advancement of pollution control technologies and environmental management system for coal-fired power plants in terms of policy and standards formulation, technological and equipment R&D, science education and social services, laying a foundation for ultra-low emissions from coal-fired power plants and winning wide recognition from the industry and the public.
