Fortune magazine unveiled its 2019 list of China’s top 500 public companies on July 10, which included three of China Energy’s subsidiaries.
China Shenhua Energy Company Limited ranked 35th on the list and 18th among the 40 most profitable companies. GD Power Development Co., Ltd. was at the 139th place and ranked fifth among 21 named power generation companies. China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited ranked 321st.
The 2019 list of China’s top 500 public companies reviews the performance of Chinese public companies across the globe. In total, the 500 finalists generated 45.5 trillion yuan in revenue, up 14.8 percent compared to last year, and 3.625 trillion in net profit, which is an increase of 17 percent year-on-year. Last year, China’s GDP surpassed 90 trillion yuan for the first time. The total revenue of the top 500 Chinese companies accounted for more than half of the figure.
The New York-based business magazine releases its annual list in association with China International Capital Corporation Limited based on information officially disclosed by public companies at stock exchanges.
