As the Hong Kong Teachers’ Delegation arrived in Beijing on August 1, the “Energy Journey into China Shenhua 2019” was kicked off. On behalf of China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) and China Shenhua, Zhang Guohou, a leader of China Energy, extended welcome to Mr. Tsang Tak-sing, council member of the Hong Kong-based Endeavor Education Center Limited, and all the visiting teachers. On behalf of the delegation, Tsang expressed appreciation to China Energy. The two sides held cordial talks and exchanged views on how to build a bridge of friendship and a bridge of hope between the mainland and Hong Kong via the “Energy Journey into China Shenhua” event.
Sponsored by the Endeavor Education Center and the Party Building Department of China Energy and organized by China Shenhua, the “Energy Journey into China Shenhua” event has been held four times, with participation of more than 200 general studies teachers from Hong Kong. During the ongoing week-long “Energy Journey,” the delegation will visit China Energy’s coal mine, power plant, energy research institute, coal-to-oil (CTO) plant and hydropower station to experience advanced concepts, state-of-the-art technologies, outstanding culture and hardworking employees of China Energy and China Shenhua, gain an understanding of China Energy’s efforts and achievements in clean mining, clean conversion and clean utilization of energy, and witness the significant contributions made by China Energy and China Shenhua to promoting green, low-carbon energy development and building a beautiful China.
