China Energy recently announced the launch of its ‘Love Volunteers’ program in Beijing on the occasion of the 34th International Volunteer Day. Gao Song, deputy CEO of China Energy Investment Corporation, delivered a speech at the event, which was attended by heads of relevant departments and centers of the corporation, representatives of the Public Welfare Foundation, volunteers and employee representatives.
Gao Song called for innovating the voluntary service system and mechanism, inspiring devotion and passion for voluntary services, creating an atmosphere of voluntary service across the group and shouldering the mission of volunteers in the new era.
The program is aimed to mobilize China Energy’s vast number of volunteers to practice the volunteer spirit of “dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress,” serve the society with unite love and pass on civilization. At the launching ceremony, the Public Welfare Foundation of China Energy introduced the establishment of the “love volunteers” team of the group company before leaders presented certificates and flags to the volunteers. Then, a volunteer representative delivered a speech and all the volunteers took the oath.
The “love volunteers” team of China Energy was established in July 2019. After signing up and screening, 88 employees from 25 departments and centers of the group were selected as the first batch of volunteers. Based on various public welfare projects carried out by the group and the foundation itself, the Public Welfare Foundation plans to organize voluntary activities in a systematic manner in fields such as poverty alleviation, public welfare charity and ecological environmental protection.
