Co-sponsored by the Committee of Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Institute of Business Administration and Beijing Rongzhi Corporate Social Responsibility Institute, the 2019 Global Corporate Sustainable Competitiveness Summit was held in Beijing on November 21. The summit released a list of 2019 Best Global Companies with Sustainable Competitiveness, and China Energy was honored with Overseas Sustainability Best Practice Award.
With the theme of “Sustainable Innovation and High-quality Development,” the summit focused on topics concerning sustainable development. Nearly 200 attendees from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Federation of Industrial Economics, the Chinese Institute of Business Administration, Tsinghua University, Beijing Technology and Business University, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and other organizations discussed ways of promoting sustainable development of enterprises.
The summit also granted China Energy a Chinese company CSR report presentation certificate from the 2019 Global CSR Summit. On October 15, the 2019 Global CSR Summit was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. As an outstanding representative of Chinese enterprises actively promoting sustainable development and implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs), China Energy was invited to present its 2018 CSR Report at the UN summit, which received high comments from experts and scholars attending the meeting.
