Party members of all departments and subsidiaries of China Energy have voluntarily donated money to support the epidemic prevention and control. As of March 3, the Party members had made donations totaling more than 14.1 million yuan (US$2 million).
Donations were voluntarily made by Party members according to their capability via online transfer. The vast number of Party members of China Energy responded enthusiastically. To echo the activity, China Shenhua, Guodian Electric Power and Guohua Electric Power under the group carried out thematic campaigns by means of videos to mobilize Party members to make all-out efforts to ensure both epidemic containment and smooth production and operation, thus making positive contributions to winning the war against the epidemic. Inspired by the determination and confidence of the CPC Central Committee to win the COVID-19 battle, Ma Xiqing, a veteran Party member of the Ningxia Coal Industry Group, donated 10,000 yuan (US$1,428) as special Party fee to help control the epidemic. Retired veteran Party members, who are also concerned about the epidemic, overcame difficulties such as residences far from headquarter buildings, ignorance in online money transfer and illness, and entrusted their children to donate money on their behalf. 94-year-old Ci Qinjian from Xuzhou Power Plant of Guohua Electric Power, who joined the CPC 73 years ago, asked his child to help him donate 1,000 yuan (US$142.8).
All Party members of the group share determination to fulfill their respective duties on their posts and play exemplary roles in fighting the outbreak, so as to carry out the original mission with practical actions.
