As the first provincial-level wind power monitoring center under China Energy, the Jiangsu center was the first in China to realize unmanned monitoring of wind farms. It takes only 18 employees to carry out 24-hour integrated control and technical guidance for 749 wind turbines at seven wind farms scattered around five cities (or counties) in the province, saving human resources by more than 60%.

The center uses the data of wind turbines it collected not only to enhance equipment reliability but also to increase the amount of electricity generated by about 26 million kWh per year. Moreover, through collaborating with research institutions and wind turbine manufactures, it has built a big data platform. Since 2018, the center has published 68 equipment performance reports, identified 273 defective wind turbines, and helped enhance the efficiency of individual wind turbines by 3% on average and increase the amount of electricity generated by 140 million kWh.
