China Energy Showcases Technological Innovation Achievements at CHITEC

The opening ceremony of the 2021 ZGC Forum was held in Beijing on the evening of September 24. As a sideline event during the forum, the 24th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) opened on September 25. China Energy was invited to display its technological innovation achievements, including robots empowered by the Harmony Mining OS and the post-combustion CO2 capturing and storage demonstration project with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year, at the “Carbon Neutrality” exhibition area of the expo.

The booth of China Energy was divided into four sections: “Promoting the Concept of New Development and Building a New Development Pattern”, “Technological Innovation Capacity”, “Achievements of Technological Innovation” and “Taking On the Responsibility for Carbon Emissions Peaking and Carbon Neutrality: China Energy in Action”. It mainly showcased the corporation’s achievements in the development of key core technologies during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020). During the period, China Energy strengthened its innovation system and capacity, joined hands with partners to carry out technical research, and achieved major results in fields like intelligent mining and coal-to-liquid (CTL) development, with an aim to help realize the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality ahead of schedule. On display were frontier technological innovations and demonstration projects such as Shendong Coal’s green and intelligent mining technology, the results of the Harmony Mining OS’ application in various scenarios, Baoshen Railway’s 4*N-axle large-power AC driven electric locomotive, the Ordos CTL demonstration project with a capacity of 1.08 million tons per year, Jinjie Power Plant’s CO2 capturing and storage demonstration project with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year, and Taizhou 1000MW ultra-super critical double-reheat coal-fired power generation technology.
