On May 5, the dam that the Shuangjiangkou hydropower station under CHN Energy is constructing on the Dadu River surpassed 100 meters in height, realizing a key phased goal of the dam construction project. The Shuangjiangkou hydropower project is a key national project for energy development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). The hydropower station features a gravel-and-clay core-wall rockfill dam with a total fill volume of 45 million cubic meters and a designed height of 315 meters, which is a world-class high dam. In addition to ultra-high fill volume, this ultra-high core-wall rockfill dam also features high ground stress and high water head. The dam under construction is growing day after day. So far, the filling height of the dam has exceeded 100 meters, with its filling intensity continuously enhanced and its filling quality steadily improved.
