On April 4, the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) announced that the first batch of medium-term green notes issued by GD Power in 2021 was recognized as Certified Climate Bond after passing the review by the iGreenBank, a third-party authentication body, according to the Climate Bonds Standard. This is China’s first internationally certified climate bond as well as the first carbon neutralization bond issued by a Chinese non-financial institution to pass both Chinese and international certifications.
