On July 13, Longyuan Power Xinjiang Branch’s filing was approved for a 200 MW wind power project in Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang.
The project is planned to install 40 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5 megawatts. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate 526 million kWh of power annually, which can save 160,500 tons of standard coal and reduce 438,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 84.2 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions and 94.2 tons of nitrogen oxides emissions. By effectively reducing the local fossil fuels consumption, the project will deliver great economic and environmental benefits, thus laying a solid foundation for realizing the company's high-quality development and boosting regional green development.
