Lately, CHN Energy released its 2022 Sustainable Development Report, the sixth annual report on sustainable development that it issues since its 2017 reorganization. The report was rated as a five-star report, the highest level in this regard, by the Chinese Expert Committee on CSR Report Rating.
The report involves 96 quantitative indexes, covering 34 production and operation indicators including total profit, debt-to-asset ratio, return on net assets, ratio of R&D investment to revenues, overall labor productivity and operating cash flow ratio, 16 governance indexes including board construction and compliance risk control, 14 environmental indexes including emissions and renewable energy installed capacity, and 32 social indexes. In addition, the report also reveals CHN Energy’s efforts in Party building, rural revitalization, common prosperity, and other fields with Chinese characteristics from the perspectives of system, measures, plan implementation, and supervision, and includes more than 160 qualitative indexes such as corporate governance, green operation, environmental management, ecological progress, biodiversity conservation, supply chain responsibility, employee development, and cooperative community construction.
