Recently, the National Energy Group's project "Integration of Ecological Protection and Poverty Alleviation: Yellow River Source Ecological Governance Project in Qumalai County, Qinghai Province" was honored in the "4th Global Poverty Reduction Case" collection activity, earning a place in the global poverty reduction case database.
Since China Energy initiated targeted assistance to Qumalai County in Yushu Zang Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, it has been deeply committed to the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are invaluable assets." With a cumulative investment of nearly one billion yuan, the project has successfully implemented a grazing ban on 320,000 acres of grassland at the source of the Yellow River in Qumalai County. This initiative paints a picture of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature in rural areas.
The Qinghai branch of China Energy has intensified ecological support efforts around the idea of "green mountains and clear waters." As a result, the degradation of the grasslands at the source of the Yellow River in Qumalai County has been effectively curbed, and the natural regulatory functions of the grasslands have gradually recovered. The ecological situation at the source of the Yellow River has significantly improved. Simultaneously, through measures such as livestock migration and the establishment of cooperatives, the scientific concentration of livestock farming has been promoted, leading to a noticeable improvement in the living standards of herders in the grazing-prohibited areas. The enthusiasm for production among herders has also significantly increased.
