Recently, the China Energy Shanxi Branch initiated the "One City, Three Districts" long-distance heating project at Huozhou Power Plant.
This project involves the heating transformation of two 600MW ultra-supercritical direct air-cooled units at Huozhou Power Plant and is a key green energy construction project promoted by the governments at both levels in Linfen City and Huozhou City. The project adopts the first domestic large-capacity ultra-supercritical direct air-cooled unit complete waste heat utilization model, integrating multiple technological features such as high back-pressure heating, steam quality improvement heating, small heating units, low-pressure cylinder micro power generation, and extraction steam heating. It possesses significant advantages in energy saving, efficiency, and economy, playing an important role in enhancing heating capacity, heating economy, and peak load regulation capability.
Upon completion of the transformation, Huozhou Power Plant will deliver the heat source to Linfen City’s 3 districts through long-distance pipelines, covering Hongtong County, Linfen City, Xiangfen County, and some towns along the line, with a heating area of 30 million square meters. This will effectively alleviate the current shortage of centralized heating sources in Linfen City, contributing to improvements in atmospheric environment, energy conservation, and ecological protection. The project includes the renovation of the district heating circulation water system, turbine extraction steam heating system, and will be constructed in two phases, expected to be completed before the heating season of 2024-2025.
