As of July 14, CHN Energy Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway has completed the transportation of 203.5 million tons of cargo this year, an increase of 11.538 million tons year-on-year. Compared to that of 2023, the cargo volume reached 200 million tons 12 days earlier, ensuring a steady energy supply for the summer peak.

The Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway is China's second national Grade I double-track electrified heavy-haul railway, following the Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway. It primarily operates three heavy-haul freight lines: the Shuozhou-Huanghua Line, the Huanghua-Dajiawa Line, and the Huanghua-Wanjia Line. With a total operational mileage of 889 kilometers, it serves as a crucial artery connecting the northern Shanxi Plateau to Huanghua Port on the Bohai Bay and is the second largest channel for the west-to-east coal transportation in China.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway actively responded to transportation changes, continuously strengthened daily tracking and weekly adjustments, and steadily improved the accuracy and fulfillment rates of plans to ensure efficient and smooth integrated operations. The focus has been on monitoring key links in transportation organization, enhancing the organization and monitoring of daily train handovers at boundary points, managing the flow adjustments, and precisely matching the diversion plans at various points to ensure that unloading is smooth and continuous, accelerating the speed of empty train returns, and ensuring the availability of rolling stock for loading.
The Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway has also strengthened cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises and the other logistics companies to consolidate and expand effective cargo sources, extending the logistics service chain. It focuses on capacity matching, logistics facility equipment matching, and continuously improves the carrying capacity of transportation and the ability to transition from road transportation to rail transportation.
