On September 9, China Energy's Qinghai Haixi Company announced the completion of infrastructure construction for the 700 MW photovoltaic station, part of the 1 GW solar-wind-storage project in Dachaidan, which had passed the acceptance inspection. The project has been listed among China's second batch of large-scale energy bases. Subsequent work is progressing smoothly.

The Dachaidan project is located in the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, an area with a dry climate and long winters. July, August, and September are prime months for construction. The company has been committed to building the prefecture’s first 10 GW integrated energy base with high quality and standards. To this end, it has optimized management, coordinated material logistics, and allocated personnel and machinery efficiently. About 1,100 workers, as well as 40 pieces of construction equipment, including cranes, excavators, and pump trucks, were busy at the construction site of the project.

The total investment for the 1 GW project is 3.5 billion yuan. Upon completion, the average annual electricity output will amount to 2.187 billion kWh, with 1.44 billion kWh from the 700 MW photovoltaic power project and 747 million kWh from the 300 MW wind power project. The entire project is expected to deliver significant economic, social, and environmental benefits.
