As of the end of March 2025, CHN Energy had 132 new energy storage projects in operation, with a total capacity of 4,934 MW/10,956 MWh.

These projects span multiple technological pathways, including electrochemical, flywheel, molten salt heat storage, and hybrid storage systems, providing robust support for the construction of modern power infrastructure.

Electrochemical storage dominates the operational portfolio, comprising 128 projects. The Group has pioneered diversified storage solutions through landmark projects such as China's largest coal-fired power plant integrated electrochemical energy storage facility at Taishan Power Plant in Guangdong, and the world's largest single flywheel energy storage installation at Lingwu Power Plant in Ningxia. New energy storage projects now account for nearly 70% of the total portfolio, substantially improving grid regulation capabilities.

CHN Energy plans to advance its energy storage strategy through well-planned regional storage power stations, expanded demonstration of emerging technologies, and market-oriented operational models. These efforts aim to accelerate the transformation of energy infrastructure.
