On June 30, the report China-Indonesia Mangrove Conservation in Belt and Road Construction: Corporate Practices, Case Studies and Insights was officially released in Beijing. Using CHN Energy's Java 7 Project in Indonesia as a case study, the report highlights cooperative achievements between China and Indonesia in ecological protection.

Through comprehensive conservation measures including vegetation restoration, ecological compensation and community engagement, the Java 7 Project expanded surrounding mangrove coverage from 5 hectares to 19 hectares. This initiative demonstrates an effective approach to synergizing development and conservation, showcasing corporate practices in ecological protection.

Compiled by Xufang International Media (China International Communications Group) and ESG think tank SynTao, with guidance from the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences (MEE) and support from organizations including Mangrove Indonesia, the report systematically analyzes the ecological and socio-economic value of mangroves. It compares management mechanisms and public participation models for mangrove conservation in China and Indonesia, while exploring collaborative opportunities for Chinese enterprises undertaking ecological protection in Indonesia.

The report indicates that pragmatic China-Indonesia cooperation on mangrove conservation delivers dual ecological and economic benefits, offering valuable reference for other developing countries pursuing green development pathways. The report's launch was preceded by the "Rebirth of Mangrove Forest" China-Indonesia Sustainable Development Dialogue in Jakarta, which involved over 100 delegates from multiple countries.
