Recently, the Standardization Administration of China released the sixth batch of recommended national standards for 2025, appointing CHN Energy Longyuan Power to lead the revision of the Code for Acceptance of Wind Farm Construction Projects (GB/T 31997-2015), in both Chinese and English versions. The revision aims to reflect the latest technological developments in the wind power and align China’s standards with international practices.
With the rapid growth of China’s wind power sector and the emergence of new technologies such as offshore wind, deep-sea wind power and large turbine clusters, the existing acceptance standards require timely renewals to meet industry needs. The revision will focus on new technologies, processes and equipment used in wind farm construction, further improving the technical framework, defining acceptance scopes, refining evaluation indicators and standardizing acceptance procedures.
The revised standard quality assurance, safety, operational efficiency, and environmental protection, offering practical guidance to reduce construction risks, enhance project performance, and lower long-term maintenance costs. By releasing the Chinese and English versions simultaneously, the new standard aims to facilitate global collaboration and contribute China’s expertise to the worldwide wind power industry.
This revision underscores China’s commitment to high-quality wind energy development and demonstrates how the country is sharing its technological advances with the global renewable energy community.
