Guided by China’s dual-carbon goals, CHN Energy is advancing a strategy of pollution reduction, carbon mitigation, ecosystem expansion and green growth. By integrating its strengths in green power with a variety of industrial and campus settings, the Group has successfully developed nine benchmark low-carbon and zero-carbon parks with strong demonstration effects. As of the end of October 2025, these parks have combined renewable energy installations of approximately 380,000 kW, consume more than 400 million kWh of green electricity annually, and reduce carbon emissions by 170,000 tons per year, with several core indicators leading the industry.

These benchmark projects span a wide range of application scenarios, including the integrated energy system park in Ganquanbao, Xinjiang; Boao Zero-Carbon Demonstration Zone in Hainan; Longyuan Power Near-Zero-Carbon Park in Yantai, Shandong; Liugong Group Smart Green Industrial Park in Guangxi; Jintang Low-Carbon Recycling Industrial Park in Sichuan; and four green campuses at Nanjing Institute of Technology, Yuzhang Normal College in Jiangxi, Anhui University of Technology, and Ma’anshan University. Together, they form a complete system of demonstration models, covering incremental distribution networks, conference-center-based zero-carbon sites, multi-energy complementary industrial parks, PV-plus-storage-plus-charging facilities, and green campuses.

Each park has achieved significant results through its distinctive technical pathway. Ganquanbao Park in Xinjiang, adopting an integrated generation–grid–load–storage model, supplies more than 3 billion kWh of green power annually and has reduced enterprises’ electricity costs by 20 percent. Boao Demonstration Zone in Hainan operates on 100 percent green power and is the world’s first carbon-neutral international forum venue; its smart green energy system was selected as a typical case by the National Energy Administration. Since beginning operation, Yantai Park in Shandong has supplied about 3.4 million kWh of green electricity through centralized PV-storage-charging management. Liugong Park in Guangxi, operational since April this year, has provided a cumulative 36 million kWh of green power.

Notably, Jintang Park in Sichuan has pioneered an innovative “coal-fired plant + solid-waste recycling + thermal energy substitution” model, treating 500,000 tons of solid waste annually and addressing 40 percent of the region’s disposal gap, providing a successful example for the green transformation of traditional industries. Several green campus projects have also produced solid outcomes, including an annual supply of about 7 million kWh of green electricity at Anhui University of Technology and about 6.5 million kWh at Ma’anshan University.

Looking ahead, CHN Energy will focus on breakthroughs in key technologies such as coordinated control of generation–grid–load–storage systems and carbon-footprint accounting, while improving relevant standards and specifications and fostering deeper integration between power enterprises and industrial parks. Through pilot projects in direct green-power supply, V2G (vehicle-to-grid) interaction, and PV-storage-charging systems, as well as active participation in green certificate and green power trading, the Group will continue strengthening energy and carbon management capabilities in its parks, ultimately building a virtuous development cycle in which green power supports park growth and parks facilitate green-power consumption.
