As of November 20, 2025, Ma'erdang Hydropower Station, operated by CHN Energy Qinghai Branch, has surpassed the 5 billion kilowatt-hour mark in cumulative annual power generation, reaching 5.012 billion kWh. This achievement represents a significant contribution to regional energy supply security and green development.

Throughout the year, the station has upheld the principle of striving for and securing every kilowatt-hour of power. It has focused on lean operation, meticulous maintenance and refined management to fully ensure a stable electricity supply. In terms of safety, the station has diligently advanced the construction of its safety production management system, strictly enforced the "two permits and three shifts" safety regulations, and regularly organized safety training and emergency drills to enhance employee safety skills and emergency response capabilities.
Regarding equipment management, the station has established a full life-cycle equipment management system, increased inspection and maintenance efforts, conducted specialized investigations into equipment hazards, and specifically strengthened the maintenance and guarantee of generating and transforming equipment, stability control systems and grid-connected lines, effectively improving equipment reliability.
In the development of a smart power station, the station successfully implemented the domestic first set of pressurized water phase-shifting technology for large-scale hydro-generators and the country's first fully domestically produced, autonomously controlled smart decentralized control system. This has significantly enhanced the station's smart control and management level, providing a model for the domestic substitution of core technologies in China's large-scale hydropower stations.
