This award recognizes enterprises for innovative practices in the comprehensive utilization of low-calorific coal resources. The company has independently developed a coal drying system that effectively removes moisture from lignite with low initial calorific value and high water content, significantly improving its calorific value and combustion efficiency. The technology enhances the stability of unit operations and systematically boosts overall energy utilization efficiency. By the end of 2025, PT.GH EMM Indonesia had achieved 5,292 consecutive days of safe operation, with no unplanned outages for 13 consecutive years.

PT. GH EMM Indonesia is the first overseas coal–power integrated Independent Power Producer (IPP) project invested and constructed by CHN Energy. It also represents the Group’s first overseas coal-fired IPP project developed in response to the national “Going Global” strategy. Located in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatera Province, the project is approximately 100 kilometers from Palembang, the provincial capital. The project consists of two 150 MW ultra-high-pressure, condensing coal-fired generating units, along with a 99-kilometer double-circuit 150 kV transmission line. It started commercial operation on February 27, 2013.
The Listrik Indonesia Award is an influential industry recognition in the country’s energy sector. This award marks industry acknowledgment of the company’s efforts in promoting the clean and efficient use of coal and supporting sustainable local power supply. Going forward, the company will continue to leverage its technical strengths in lignite combustion, promote the localization of advanced practices in Indonesia, and deepen technical exchanges and cooperation with local enterprises.
