CHN Energy Yuanhai Shipping’s cumulative cargo transportation volume for the year exceeded 100 million tons as of May 12, reaching 100.439 million tons in total. The milestone was achieved 10 days earlier than last year, setting a record high for the same period in the company’s history.

Since the beginning of this year, rising international crude oil prices and a sharp increase in domestic thermal coal transportation demand have tightened overall domestic shipping capacity. In response, the company optimized its shipping capacity structure and increased capacity deployment. Data shows that, to date, the company has completed 48.64 million tons of integrated internal coal transportation for supply guarantee purposes this year, up 22.2 percent year on year. During the same period, three additional scheduled vessels serving power plants were put into operation, further expanding transport capacity along key shipping routes.

Performance indicators on some of the company’s external trunk routes also recorded notable growth. In the inland waterway transportation segment, annual cargo volume in the Yangtze River inland shipping market increased by 400,000 tons year on year, representing a 400 percent increase. Continuous online cooperation models in non-coal businesses such as grain transportation have also operated steadily.

CHN Energy Yuanhai Shipping serves as the shipping asset management and operation platform under the Group. The company’s annual cargo volume surpassing 100 million tons ahead of schedule reflects its logistics throughput efficiency in coping with complex freight rate fluctuations and large-scale demand growth. Continued investment in waterway shipping capacity has provided solid logistical support for cross-regional energy allocation and the stable operation of bulk commodity supply chains.
