CHN Energy employee attends World Youth Development Forum for 3rd consecutive year

The 2026 World Youth Development Forum, themed “Youth Drive Development for a Better World”, was held in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei Province from June 15 to 17. Mgs Abd Fattah, an Indonesian employee of CHN Energy was invited to attend the forum. This is the third consecutive year that CHN Energy has selected outstanding foreign young representatives to participate in the event.

More than 500 participants attended the event, including representatives from United Nations agencies, 12 international youth organizations and over 120 countries, comprising youth ministers, leaders of youth organizations, key personnel from youth development programs and outstanding young representatives from various sectors.

Mgs Abd Fattah, CHN Energy’s youth representative, works on the front line of operations and is fluent in Chinese, English and Indonesian. During the forum, he actively participated in various exchange activities, engaged in in-depth discussions with youth representatives from around the world, and shared practical experience in the field of new energy. Through mutual learning and exchanges, he broadened his international perspective.

Mgs Abd Fattah said, “The forum has built a bridge for global youth cooperation. I will apply what I have learned and reflected on during this trip to my daily work and actively promote mutual learning in technology and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.”

This year marked the fifth consecutive year that the World Youth Development Forum has been held in China. The forum featured an opening ceremony and plenary session, as well as three parallel thematic forums focusing on creative economy and trendy culture, artificial intelligence and youth empowerment, and volunteerism and poverty reduction. Young representatives from various sectors exchanged views, shared ideas and built broad consensus on development-related issues.

During the forum, several important outcomes were released, including the think tank report Chinese Youth: Strivers and Global Contributors in the New Era and the Youth Declaration of the 2026 World Youth Development Forum, contributing to the building of a community with a shared future.
