Guoneng Yellow Sea No.1, the first semi-submersible offshore ranching platform integrating offshore wind power, solar power and aquaculture in east China's Jiangsu Province independently developed by Longyuan Power under CHN Energy, successfully completed the release of its first batch of 10,000 Daiquiri strain large yellow croaker juveniles on June 25, marking the project's official transition into commercial aquaculture operations. Once operating at full capacity, the platform is expected to produce 60 metric tons of premium aquatic products, including large yellow croaker, annually, with an annual output value exceeding 20 million yuan (approximately 2.8 million USD).

Guoneng Yellow Sea No.1

Guoneng Yellow Sea No.1 is located within the waters of Longyuan Power's completed Sheyang H2# Offshore Wind Farm in Jiangsu Province, 36 kilometers offshore in waters 18 meters deep. Its main steel-structured net cage measures 53 meters in length, 24 meters in width and 21 meters in height, providing a farming volume of 11,500 cubic meters. The project adopts an innovative spatial integration approach to develop a semi-submersible platform tailored for existing offshore wind farms, minimizing operational interference between aquaculture activities and wind power facilities. It represents the second-generation upgrade of Longyuan Power's integrated wind power–aquaculture technology system, following the successful deployment of Guoneng Sharing.

In support of green and low-carbon development, Guoneng Yellow Sea No.1 features an off-grid intelligent microgrid comprising a 50-kilowatt photovoltaic array and 200-kilowatt-hour modular energy storage system. The onboard diesel generator serves solely as an emergency backup, enabling 100% clean energy self-sufficiency throughout the entire aquaculture process. This project demonstrates Longyuan Power's commitment to advancing the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy sector while expanding clean energy application scenarios. Leveraging the company's mature offshore operation and maintenance management system, the platform adopts an operation model featuring minimal on-site staffing plus remote intelligent monitoring, achieving refined, cost-effective management while further improving operation, maintenance and management standards for comprehensive deep-sea offshore platforms.

As a key project supporting the Group's strategy to expand diversified application scenarios for renewable energy, Guoneng Yellow Sea No.1 fully unlocks the value of existing offshore wind power assets. By making comprehensive use of the existing wind farm waters and infrastructure, the project has successfully created a new pathway for adding value to the offshore wind power industry. To date, the project has filed five invention patent applications and been granted five utility model patents and five software copyrights, with several core technologies achieving domestic breakthroughs. The technical achievements in net cage selection, offshore site selection and mooring system design have now reached the level required for conversion into industry standards, laying a solid foundation for exporting both the technology and the operational model.

Going forward, Longyuan Power will continue to pursue innovation-driven development and further explore diversified renewable-energy-plus integrated business models. The company will strengthen aquaculture management, maintenance and technical monitoring of the platform, continuously refine and optimize the integrated wind power–aquaculture operating model, and inject new momentum into its high-quality development.
