At 23:56 on July 27, train No. 46021, consisting of 50 C70E open-top freight wagons, successfully arrived at the North Yard of Wanshuiquan South Station on the Baoshen Railway. CHN Energy Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. immediately carried out overnight technical inspections and completed the handover procedures. The delivery of this first batch marks the official launch of CHN Energy's 2026 freight wagon renewal program into operational service.
The first newly purchased freight train
The 50 C70E open-top wagons are the first batch delivery of the Group's 2026 program to replace 2,110 old freight wagons with new rolling stock. Designed in compliance with China's national railway technical standards for interoperable operations, the C70E features high payload capacity, excellent marshallingflexibility and extended maintenance intervals. The remaining wagons will be rolled out in phases as scheduled.
As subsequent batches enter service, the new wagons are expected to ease pressure on the CHN Energy's integrated transportation network, shorten wagon turnaround times, improve freight efficiency, and strengthen capacity for outbound energy shipmentsfrom the region.
