The China Electricity Council officially approved the launch of an industry standard titled Combined Determination of Coal Quality by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy for Online Coal Analysis on September 17. The standard was proposed and led by the Nanjing Branch of CHN Energy Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd.
Focusing on rapid coal quality analysis, the standard aims to establish a methodology and technical specifications based on the combined use of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and near-infrared spectroscopy. It will systematically specify technical requirements covering the entire process, including instruments and equipment, testing conditions, quality control and data modeling. As a methodology standard within the rapid coal quality testing standards framework, it complements the previously approved industry standard Technical Specifications for Online Coal Analysis X-ray Fluorescence and Near-Infrared Spectrometers, creating an integrated method + equipment framework and providing a complete foundation for the rapid coal quality testing standards system.
The development of the standard will promote the transformation of coal quality testing from traditional laboratory analysis to online rapid testing, providing methodological support for CHN Energy to establish a coal quality and quantity management system based on online measurement and digital oversight. Its implementation will also accelerate the development of new productive forces driven by rapid coal quality testing technologies, using standardization innovation to drive technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrading and contributing to the high-quality development of the industry.
