The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit was held from Sept. 17 to 21 at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. CHN Energy once again showcased its presence at the China-ASEAN Expo, attracting numerous Chinese and international guests to its exhibition area.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN dialogue relations. It is also a crucial year for accelerating the implementation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 Upgrade Protocol following its formal signing. Under the theme “CAFTA 3.0 Opportunities, Better Life”, this year's event upgraded its digital economy and green and low-carbon exhibition areas. It also launched, for the first time, an exhibition area dedicated to future-oriented development and the growth of technology-driven enterprises, as well as an exhibition area highlighting the needs of ASEAN countries. Timor-Leste participated as a co-organizer for the first time, while all 11 ASEAN countries gathered in Nanning for the first time. The expo also introduced, for the first time, a participation model in which leading enterprises help smaller companies join the exhibition. The finance exhibition area featured systematic displays of AI + finance and the international expansion of financial technology. More than 3,400 enterprises from 73 countries participated in the event.
CHN Energy's exhibition booth featured sections on the Group's profile, energy as a cornerstone, advancing toward a greener future, and openness and sharing. It showcased the high-quality development of its integrated coal, power, chemical and transportation industry chain, its achievements in green and low-carbon transformation, progress in practical global energy cooperation, and the latest development of its operations in Guangxi. With solid results from project implementation and a clear pathway for green development, CHN Energy's projects attracted widespread attention from industry representatives and exhibitors.
Guangxi Branch's Smart Energy Holographic Sand Table Model made another appearance at the China-ASEAN Expo. The model innovatively combines dynamic holographic imaging with a physical sand table to provide an intuitive view of the six major industrial bases developed by CHN Energy's operations in Guangxi: the Beihai integrated power-port-storage-transportation energy base, the northern Guangxi million-kilowatt wind power base, the Wuzhou million-kilowatt integrated energy base, the Yongfu integrated wind-solar-thermal-storage energy base, the Nanning integrated energy base for industry and urban development, and the Liuzhou integrated energy service base for industrial parks. The model vividly demonstrates the latest achievements in supporting the development of a magnificent Guangxi in the new era. Leveraging the advantages of CHN Energy's integrated operations, its businesses in Guangxi have developed into the largest centrally administered energy enterprise in the region in terms of thermal power capacity, a leading enterprise in wind power capacity, and an industry leader with the longest industrial chain and the broadest range of business segments.
China and ASEAN countries are closely connected by geography and share a common future, making them important energy cooperation partners. CHN Energy will continue to engage deeply in practical global energy cooperation, work with partners across ASEAN to advance the region's green and low-carbon energy transition, and contribute to building a secure, inclusive and coordinated energy community.
